Wednesday 6th April - Wedding Banquet

We all arrived in our party frocks.

We played some party games:-
Prince Charmings coming
Find Cinderellas slipper
Musical Chairs

We then finished with a Royal Banquet

This was the last meeting for 2 Rainbows and we did Pot of Gold and went over the Rainbow.

Royal Wedding Challenge

To celebrate the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on the 29th April 2011, we have spent the Spring Term doing a Royal Wedding Challenge.

We completed this by:-

Playing a game called Prince Charmings Coming.

We made edible necklaces.

We made paper flowers and put in a home made basket

Made a Wedding Card and sent it to Buckingham Palace.

Finishing with a Wedding Party, one of the Rainbows mums made a wedding cake for us.

History of 1st Hunstanton Rainbows

1st Hunstanton Rainbows was formed in 1992 by Wendy King and Diane Payne and they met in 1st Hunstanton Scout and Guide Headquarters.

When they retired 1st Hunstanton Rainbows was suspended for a short while.

In 1996 Sharon Calvert took over as leader with a change of venue, which was in the union church Hunstanton.

In 2002 Sharon Calvert moved away so Linda Lee became the leader.

In 2003 Jenny Davies (Later Smith) became leader and Linda Lee became the assistant.

My Guiding Story


I joined 1st Hunstanton Brownies in 1987 as a 7 yr old girl, i loved guiding and am following in my Mums footsteps and am here to stay.



Later in 1990 joined 1st Hunstanton Guides and in about 1992 became a pack leader with 1st Hunstanton Rainbows, Sharon Calvert was the Rainbow leader.

In 1994, i became a Young Leader with 1st Hunstanton Rainbows, then in 1998 at age 18 became an Assistant Leader.

In January 2002 Sharon Calvert Moved away, and Linda Lee became the Leader with me as her assistant and in 2003 there was a reversal of roles and i became Leader with Linda Lee as my assistant and there i remain to this day.
